Delhi Police to produce Bharti before Dwarka Court today
Delhi Police on Tuesday will produce former Delhi law minister Somnath Bharti before the Dwarka Court.
Bharti, who has been accused of domestic violence by his wife Lipika Mitra had surrendered at the Dwarka Police Station here on Monday evening.
The Supreme Court had yesterday ordered Bharti to surrender before the Delhi Police.
Bharti had moved the apex court seeking protection from arrest in the case and a direction to restrain the Delhi Police from arresting him till his plea challenging the High Court order is decided.
The 41-year-old AAP lawmaker has been accused of domestic violence and torture by his wife Lipika, whom he married in 2010.
