New Delhi, Nov 30 (ANI): The most awaited music festival gets over with its fourth edition in the national capital.
However, what it left behind were crazy memories to cherish, a new bunch of friends, a much needed 'stress free' weekend and amazing music.
But if you missed it all, let us take you on a small trip of the weekender to give you reasons why not to miss it the next time it makes it's stopover in the capital:
Day 1 of the festival didn't let anyone take a sigh of relief as at every corner some exciting concert was happening.
Whether it was the renowned Indian percussionist V.Selvaganesh with his ensemble playing complete classical compositions, or the Grammy award winner DJ and Singer Mark Ronson playing his international hits, the crowd went crazy and grooved to their tunes.
"If you see recently, all rock bands or fusion bands are adapting classical music to do something different. We are witnessing a change in music scenario wherein different genres of music are coming together to create a different blend. Bacardi NH7 Weekender is a great platform to perform and witness that change," said V. Selvaganesh to ANI.
He further said, "We have performed a lot in abroad and wished for such festivals to happen in India. However, now when it is happening here, we feel really glad."
However, the show stealer remained the performance by Indian music legend A.R.Rahman who created the magic of his greatest hits on the stage, while the massive crowds joined in the chorus and chanted for more.
Day 2 of the festival started to grab eyeballs when Mexican acoustic guitar duo, Rodrigo y Gabriela started to play at the event.
Their music was influenced by a number of genres including nuevo flamenco, rock, and heavy metal. While the duo was having a lot of fun performing, they invited few members from the audience to join them on stage who had their own share of fun by dancing to the tunes.
However, the evening got even better when the final performance of the festival took place with Vishal Dadlani, along renowned singers like Niti Mohan, Ishita Sarkar, Raghu Dixit and Harshdeep Kaur, paid tribute to Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
Apart from all this, the Delhi crowd was quite amused with trampolines at the venue, so we caught a glimpse of the crowd trying some stunts on it. Also, this time the weekender gave an opportunity for its visitors to have a 7D look of the entire event through an exciting ride.
The event that kick started in Shillong and grooved the city of Kolkata, has gotten over half of its journey at Delhi, and will travel to Pune and Bengaluru in the first week of December.
