Putting speculation to rest, Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria has expressed that he has no intention to leave the club this summer despite enduring as troublesome first season at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who moved to United following his record 59.7million pounds transfer from Real Madrid, struggled with form and fitness last season, spawning speculation that he may move back to Spain with Barcelona.
However, Di Maria confirmed that he is not thinking of leaving the club and would like to deal with issues affecting his performance same like he used to do at the Bernabeu, the Guardian reported.
The Argentine, who is currently on international duty at the Copa America, also expressed his frustration at being sidelined at Old Trafford. He said that he came with an intention to play but ended up on the bench, insisting that he finds it hard to explain his situation.
