American rapper Diddy's 47-year-old ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter was found dead at her residence on Thursday.
A family friend while speaking to the People magazine revealed that 'Been around the world' singer Diddy was heartbroken to know about the untimely death, as they were in good terms for the sake of their children. Diddy and Porter had three children together.
In a statement released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office on Thursday confirmed that Porter was dead by the time officers came in to investigate. The investigating officers found Porter's body to be unresponsive in her Toluca Lake residence.
Till now the cause of her death has not been ascertained.
Diddy a.k.a. Sean John Combs began dating Kim Porter back in the 1990s, and it is on 1998 they welcomed their first child- a son, Christian Casey Combs.
For the second time, after a gap of nine years, they welcomed twin girls, D'Lila Star and Jessie James Combs.
In 1999, Porter and Combs split for the first time. In 2003, after dating Singer Jennifer Lopez for two years, Diddy reconciled with Porter. In 2007, the couple called it quits for the final time.
In an interview to an American magazine, earlier this year, Porter revealed that they split as their relationship had turned sour over the years after rumours about Diddy fathering a child with another woman came to the fore.
