The students of a Government School for differently-abled kids, Jagathy, in Thiruvananthapuram performed on the stage to showcase their talents and won the hearts of many.
The teachers of the school had decided to train the students in mime and drama as part of their personality development.
The students, who have hearing and speech impairments, were introverts and hesitated in mingling with different people earlier. To train the students to overcome their shyness, the teachers decided to teach them some activities.
Two theatre artists Pratheesh and Jyothish provided training to the students in drama and mime.
The students also learned and performed it on stage in front of teachers and parents.
Director of Public Education Gopala Krishna Bhat and Trivandrum District Collector Biju Prabhar were also present to watch the programme.
