Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Dr. Najma A. Heptulla, felicitated minority candidates clearing Civil Services Exam-2013 here today.
Congratulating them, the Minister acknowledged their hard work and success in the Civil Services Exam 2013 and expressed satisfaction over Centre's scheme to support eligible candidates bearing results.
She also apprised them of the many other schemes being implemented by the Ministry for educational and economic empowerment, skill development and women leadership of the minority communities.
She sought their help in creating awareness about these schemes amongst the target groups. The Minister urged them to work for the welfare of the economically weaker sections of the society and minorities who are dependent on the Government for their development and progress. She encouraged them to strive towards making the country a better nation.
Interacting with Dr. Najma A. Heptulla, minority candidates who have qualified for appointment in the Civil Services Exam- 2013 thanked Minister and the Ministry for timely financial support. They urged that more awareness be created about such schemes so that the youth in far flung areas can reap the benefits.
The Ministry of Minority Affairs under the Scheme of 'Support for Minority Students Clearing Prelims conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and State Public Service Commissions (PSCs) provides financial support to eligible aspirants. Nine candidates could make it to the meeting from eight different states.
