Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dinesh Sharma has expressed his gratitude to BJP president Amit Shah for appointing him as one of the party's eleven vice presidents.
Sharma said, "I want to thank Amit Bhai for considering a small worker like me for a big responsibility like this. We will follow the guidance given by our Prime Minister, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders of the party."
He said, "I am from UP and will work towards strengthening it along with the rest of the nation."
Sharma also said, "We will follow the directions given by party president Amit Shah and work towards getting good results in the upcoming state elections."
Assembly elections are due to be held in Maharashtra and Haryana later this year.
Earlier, BJP president Amit Shah announced his new team of eleven vice presidents and eight general secretaries.
