Emily Blunt has apologised for her remarks on the Republican presidential debate, saying that she had no intention to hurt anyone.
The 32-year-old actress, who had earlier said that the first Republican presidential debate has made her regret becoming an American citizen, stated that it was just an "offhand joke," People magazine reports.
The 'Edge of Tomorrow' star added "I became an American citizen recently, and that night, we watched the Republican debate and I thought, 'This was a terrible mistake. What have I done?".
Blunt, who is married to actor John Krasinki, will be next seen in Denis Villeneuve directorial 'Sicario' that also stars Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin among others.
