Former and current England cricketers have rejected claims that left-arm spinner Simon Kerrigan is not ready for a return to international return.
Kerrigan has played for his country once before against Australia. He then bowled eight overs and gave away 53 runs, and went wicketless.
While former England captain Michael Vaughan said Kerrigan has been recalled too soon and feared for his future, England opener Sam Robson said he had no doubt that if Kerrigan plays, he will do well.
The BBC quoted Robson, as telling Sky Sports that Kerrigan was a strong character, a great guy, and was bowling well.
Robson's England team-mate Gary Ballance agreed with Robson, saying he was bowling very well in the nets, and would learn from the experience he has had.
