England Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad has said that a victory in their World T20 tournament-opening match against New Zealand is 'non-negotiable'
The skipper, who is confident of overcoming a recent knee problem, said that England tend not to start series 'overly well', but this opening match is a 'non-negotiable'.
According to the BBC, Broad said that he is hopeful adding that his knee has come up well from their team's warm-up match with India.
Broad, who missed two games of this month's T20 series in the West Indies, said that his knee getting better has given him a lot of confidence and although, it has been a long winter for him personally, but those 10 days have 'freshened him up'.
Despite England losing the warm-up matches against West Indies and India, Broad is encouraged from the 20-run defeat by India and said that although his squad lost, he feels that it had been one of the best 'death-bowling' performances for a long time by his team, the report added.
