Europe's tallest skyscraper begins construction in St. Petersburg

Europe's tallest skyscraper is currently under construction in St. Petersburg.

According to Emporis.com, the future tallest skyscraper, which has been named Lakhta Center will be 463 meters tall with tapering and pointed ends, and will surpass Moscow's Mercury City, which is the current record-holder, by about 124 meters.

According to the list compiled by the international provider of building data, further six projects of constructing skyscrapers are underway in Moscow, which is set to continue as Europe's skyscraper capital into the future.
