Former Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MLA Bharat Singh was shot dead last night after some unidentified persons open fired at Najafgarh area of the capital.
Two of Singh's associates were also critically injured in the mishap, which took place at around 8.10 p.m.
According to reports, Singh was attending a programme in the area, from where he was elected MLA in 2009.
The condition of two personal security officers is critical.
A similar attack had taken place on Singh in June 2012 as well.
