Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has revealed that he always wanted to move to Manchester United ahead of Real Madrid this summer, and said that he wants to stay there for many years.
Falcao, who had been heavily linked to Real over the summer, managed to silence the rumours that he only went to United after a move to Madrid collapsed by suggesting that a transfer to England had always been his preference.
Falcao said that United had been pursuing him for the past few months, and added that other clubs like Real were interested, but he wanted to go to Old Trafford, Metro.co.uk reported.
The striker said that United is a great club; with a great history and one that fills him with a lot of hope that he can succeed there. He said that he always dreamed to be in a club like United.
Falcao's ambitions for his time in Manchester will also be music to United fans' ears, as he has implied that he wants to be at Old Trafford for the long haul.
The Colombian said that it is a new process, new team and this year come some players, and he thinks United build a big team this season, and then future seasons. He added htat he would like to be there and be part of the project.
Falcao said that he wants to stay at United for many years.
In the immediate future however, Falcao will look to provide Van Gaal's side with some much needed dynamism after a floundering start to the season, and he will be hoping to do so by making his Premier League debut against QPR this weekend, the report added.
