The family of the Iranian woman, who has been awarded death sentence for allegedly stabbing her attempted rapist to death, is in the dark despite reports she could be spared.
According to FOX News, Rayhaneh Jabbari's mother, Shole Pakravan, says that her daughter is being pressured by authorities to sign another confession.
Pakravan said that Jabbari had no knowledge about when the execution was to take place and was being pressured to sign a document that denies there was any attempt at rape and that there was no third party present at the time of the alleged murder.
Pakravan said that her daughter was under severe psychological pressure and was being cornered.
She said that the authorities were trying to force her to sign these documents so they could build their case against her.
Iran had postponed the execution of Jabbari who was to be put to death earlier for allegedly killing her attempted rapist.
Jabbari, is to be hanged seven years after being sentenced to death for allegedly stabbing a man she says tried to rape her.
Following worldwide criticism and an international petition with almost 200,000 signatures, a court had earlier postponed Jabbari's execution.
