'Dirty Dancing' remake premiered Wednesday night and it looks like, fans are highly disappointed with it.
It's been 30 years since the original movie was released, which tells a story of a young woman in the early 1960s, who vacations with her parents in the Catskill Mountains, and falls for the resort's dance instructor, originally played by then-heartthrob Patrick Swayze.
The remake is still set in the summer of 1963, with Abigail Breslin in the lead role, which was then played by Jennifer Grey.
'Dirty Dancing' trended on social media throughout Wednesday evening, with fans terming it a "mess" and a "disaster."
"When you lie on your resume but still get the job... #DirtyDancing," wrote one.
""Oh, Baby." Should've left it to the professional OGs ?? #DirtyDancing #DirtyDancingFail," wrote another.
A Twitter user wrote, "I need this to forget I just watch the #DirtyDancing remake"
"sure the world is split from politics and racism, but at least we're all coming together to hate the #DirtyDancing remake," wrote the other.
A Twitterer wrote, "#DirtyDancing Patrick sweetie I'm so sorry they disrespected you like this.
