Seven-time Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer, who has been testing a new larger racquet to prolong his career, has said that he would love to play with a wooden one, although he missed that time.
According to tennisworldusa.org, Federer expressed after winning his second round match that his first racquet was a wooden one and there were a few great shots that were played by people who used it.
The 17-time Grand Slam champion said that when he had practiced with Bjorn Borg and Mansour Bahrami in Dubai, he had witnessed some vintage shots, particularly Borg's backhand.
Federer is through to the third round of the US Open and plays Frenchman Adrian Mannarino next, the report said.
