The National Rifle Association has opened a museum in Springfield, Missouri, which would display nearly 1,000 firearms, including those used by Napoleon Bonaparte and movie star John Wayne.
The museum which has been opened to trace the history of arms in the US, would also remind the NRA campaign in support of gun ownership.
Jim Supica, director of the museum claimed, in an online video that it was one of the premier firearms museums in the world and would be loved by a gun person, the Sky News reported.
The museum which aims to illustrate 'themes of hunting, conservation and freedom', displays guns from Missouri-born Old West outlaw Jesse James and weapons used in Western films by tough-guy actors Wayne and Clint Eastwood.
