At least five people, including two children, were on Tuesday killed when the wall of a building collapsed in the Moula Ali area on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

The wall of an old building compound was reportedly damaged by the heavy rain that has lashed Andhra Pradesh.

According to television reports, rescue workers are removing debris cautiously as they fear that more people could be trapped.

Personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Fire department, GHMC and the police were engaged in rescue operations.

Further details are awaited.
