Floyd Mayweather has hit back at his former fiancee Shantel Jackson for suing him over invasion of privacy.

In his legal documents, the 37-year-old undefeated boxing champ has claimed that discussing her abortion over social media didn't violate her right to privacy, as they were both public figure and hence the abortion too was a public issue, TMZ.com reported.

Mayweather, who was sued by Jackson earlier this year for assault, battery, defamation, invasion of privacy and more, said that she had asked him to make her "become famous" and he did it by using his celebrity status.

He added that because people were interested in their relationship status, he went public and announced that they were done since Shantel had an abortion behind his back.

Though Mayweather has tried to reason his actions, a judge still has to rule the matter.
