The West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit (WMCTU) on Tuesday searched several houses as a part of its investigation.
The searches were carried out "in connection with allegations of extremist activity in India and fraud offences," according to an information posted on the West Midlands police website on Tuesday.
The post added that the properties searched by the detectives were residential and were in Coventry, Leicester and Birmingham.
The official Twitter account of West Midlands police also put out the similar information.
The operation was carried out with the support East Midlands Special Operations Unit- Special Branch (EMSOU-SB).
The information added that no arrests were made during the process.
