Foreign Secretary Jaishankar arrives in Lanka

Indian Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar arrived in Sri Lanka on Tuesday morning at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.

Jaishankar was slated to meet the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera and the Sri Lankan Foreign Secretary, reported the Lanka Page.

The main purpose of his visit is to pave the way for the India-Sri Lanka Joint Commission meeting which will be held in Colombo next month.

He is also expected to make arrangements for the Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's visit to attend the Joint Commission meeting.
