French Kim K released on bail ahead of trial for trying to stab her beau

A model, who describes herself as the "French Kim Kardashian" has been released from prison under strict bail conditions as she awaits trial for allegedly trying to murder her boyfriend with a kitchen knife.

The 22-year-old Nabilla Benattia, who is accused of attacking her partner Thomas Vergara in Paris in November, was allowed to leave Versailles women's prison over fears she would be targeted by fellow inmates due to her fame, the Daily Star reported.

Vergara, who was found lying in a pool of blood by emergency workers on November 7, was in a serious though not life-threatening situation after he suffered several knife wounds to the chest.

Benattia, who found fame in French TV show 'The Angels of Reality,' initially claimed that strangers attacked her boyfriend, but later after that was exposed as a lie she stated that Vergara accidentally stabbed himself during an argument after taking cocaine.
