The global technology group, Freudenberg has appointed Georg Graf as their new Regional Representative in India. Graf has been with the Freudenberg Group for 24 years and has held many prominent roles in the company including Chief Financial Officer of the Freudenberg Chemical Specialties companies in India and Head of the Freudenberg Regional Corporate Center (FRCC), Bangalore - a position he will retain.
Graf's focus in his new role will be to realize the company's vision of best serving its customers and society in developing leading-edge technologies, products, solutions and services that support global sustainability.
Graf knows India very well. He has been living in Bangalore for eight years and heads the FRCC since 2013. "For the future - I'm excited about the many possibilities India will be providing for developing the business even further," says Mr. Graf.
He follows on Dr. Jorg Matthias Grobmann, who has been the Regional Representative for Freudenberg India since 2006 and who will continue to perform his duties as CFO of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities SE and Co. KG.
During his time as Regional Representative, Dr. Grobmann successfully developed the Group's business in India, initiating numerous group wide projects and activities, and strengthening the Freudenberg Group's position in the market.
Dr. Grobmann also championed 'social responsibility' in the region - focusing especially on environmental protection and the education of young people.
Particularly noteworthy is the development of the Freudenberg training centre in Nagapattinam in southern India.
"Dr. Grobmann has set the basis for Freudenberg's long term success in India, with his unconditional commitment to quality and excellence, he always believed in and ensured that India is a priority for Freudenberg," said Dr. Mohsen Sohi, CEO of the Freudenberg Group.
Graf will move forward with innovation and long-term investment in India. "I firmly believe that Freudenberg in India will continue to grow under Graf's leadership," said Dr. Mohsen Sohi.
