Karnataka mining baron G Janardhana Reddy, who has been in jail for almost four years in a corruption case, was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Reddy was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation four years ago in an illegal mining case in the Reddys' Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) in Andhra Pradesh.
As per reports, the apex court directed Reddy to refrain from visiting his home town Bellary and Kadapa, where his Obalapuram Mining Company is situated. He was also reportedly asked to surrender his passport to the court.
