'Game of Thrones' star says show's pilot was so bad it was almost axed by HBO

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in 'Game of Thrones', has revealed that the fantasy epic's pilot was so bad that it was nearly axed by HBO.

Turner told a UK publication at the London premiere of season 4 that they had to reshoot basically the whole pilot because it was really bad, Metro.co.uk reported.

She added that they thought the original pilot was great, but apparently HBO almost said no to the series.
