Actor and director Richard Attenborough has died at the age of 90, it has been revealed.
The Academy Award winner appeared in movies including 'Brighton Rock', 'World War Two', 'The Great Escape' and in the dinosaur blockbuster 'Jurassic Park', the BBC reported.
Sir Ben Kingsley, who played the title role in Attenborough's 'Gandhi' said that he would miss him dearly and he trusted him with the critical and central task of bringing to life a dream that took him 20 years to bring to fruition.
The sad news was revealed by Attenborough's son after which several tweets poured in for the late director by actors and politicians among others.
