President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Hamid Ansari on Thursday greeted the nation on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
In his message, President Pranab Mukherjee said the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the God of wisdom and good fortune. He appealed to the countrymen to re-affirm their faith in all that is good, noble and virtuous.
"Lord Ganesh is revered as embodiment of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. I hope that the festival will bring peace, harmony and prosperity in people's life," said Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari.
