In a twisting turn of events, George Michael's funeral, earlier set to take place in January, has got delayed as the coroner waits for some important results to come out from the toxicology tests.
Waiting for these results implies that there will be a delay in his funeral as well as in the investigation of his death, reports The Mirror.
Darren Salter, senior coroner from Oxfordshire, is yet to open an investigation in the pop star's death on the day of Christmas. The Police department of Thames Valley is also waiting for the toxicology results to make sure if there was any drug ingestion which played a role in the singer's death.
There are many speculations that the 'Careless Whisper' singer, who was known for his cocaine consumption, might have taken some drugs in his final days.
His Australian boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz, has also been interviewed twice for the matter. But, the police is still referring the death as "non-suspicious".
