The German Embassy will organise a concert named 'Ehsaas-e-Kashmir' at the residence of the German Ambassador on Tuesday, as a gesture of support for the victims of the floods to have hit Jammu and Kashmir.
"We should organise something visible in support of the Kashmiris, and that is why the German Embassy is organizing a concert called 'Ehsaas-e-Kashmir'. The goal of this concert is to show solidarity and mobilise support for the Kashmiris in dire need," said the German Ambassador, Michael Steiner.
"The concert will take place on Tuesday at 6 pm. Looking at the preparations, I am convinced that it is going to be a wonderful concert. I had pronounced this two weeks ago, when the extent of the disaster became apparent, knowing of course that this can only be a contribution in support of the cause," he added.
He further said that the German embassy has already been providing funds for basic healthcare support in the state.
"The German embassy has already supported basic healthcare in Kashmir. Syringes and dressing material have been sent from us to hospital in Baramullah, which have been our partners for a long time. We have provided funds amounting to Rs 25 lakhs for the same," he said.
