After a diplomatic spat, German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier met Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Sunday to discuss Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
During his official visit to Israel, Steinneier said that the two-state solution is the only reasonable resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The German president said, "Only a two-state solution will give Israel a future as a Jewish democratic state ."
Steinneier is on a three-day visit to Israel starting from Saturday and he would meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah on Monday.
German president said he is excited to visit Glvat Haviva , an institution that promotes Jewish-Arab dialogue and hope to find peace on the basis of two-state solution which he believes is the only reasonable perspective.
