Google has now allowed the users to launch files straight from the Google Drives web viewer.
Earlier, the users can only launch files within applications on their computers or Macs from the Google Drive folder.
According to the Endgadget, the users who have the viewer on their browser can open the file by right clicking on the a file to preview it, then access the 'Open With' drop-down menu to see the list of apps they can use.
The users need to ensure that they have Google Drive installed on their computer is the latest version, that is v. 1.23+ and they need to sync their files. After that they will be able to access their Drive's contents more quickly.
