Google has reportedly thwarted rumours that Google Glass is currently sale for everybody in the US.
According to Tech Crunch, while the Google Glass store is indeed open and seems to be taking orders, this isn't the public launch of Glass to anybody who wants to plunk down 1,500 dollars (plus tax).
A Google spokesperson said that the store is only functional to allow those who participated in its April 15 sale to finish their purchases.
Google said in a statement that the link was created to accommodate potential Explorers who were still in the pipeline from last week's sale, adding that the company was shutting it down shortly while it continued to experiment with ways to expand the Explorer program in the weeks and months ahead.
Meanwhile, the company did not say as to when it planned on selling Glass again.
