Gujarat riots and Babri Masjid case reflects BJP's hatred: Tariq Anwar (Update:Anwar)

Commenting on the recent spat of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi party, National Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar on Monday said that the BJP was based on hatred, and that the Gujarat riots and the Babri Masjid issue were the best examples to prove that.

"The BJP and its supporting parties are based on hatred as they only want to create problems in country," said Anwar.

"The Gujarat riots and the Babri Masjid cases are the best examples of that. This party just believes in the divide and rule policy," he said.

"The public knows and watches everything. Their perception about parties and leaders are extremely crucial and everybody knows that Modi supported 2002 riots," he added.

Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader K.C Tyagi said that both the parties were saying right things against each other.

"I think that both the parties are saying the right things against each other, but they have forgotten that wherever sugarcane is grown the situation is bleak," said Anwar.

"I think they have also forgotten the fact that the Hindu and Muslin sepoys came together and fought for our country for independence," he said.

"I also think that Narendra Modi just wants to create hatred," he added.
