Pakistan's Twenty20 captain Mohammad Hafeez has said that he will be 'comfortable' playing with veteran teammates Shoaib Malik and Abdul Razzaq if they are selected in the squad for the series against South Africa next month.
Razzaq earned a Rs.1 lakh fine from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over his outburst last year, in which he had openly criticised Hafeez's captaincy and blamed him for keeping him out of the team.
According to the Daily Times, however Hafeez appeared to be content with the situation, saying that he has no problems playing alongside Hafeez and Malik as he is respectful of the selectors' decisions, adding that as a captain, it is upto him to get the best of the players that he is given.
Hafeez further said that his success as a captain is evident from the fact that Pakistan has moved from nine to the second spot in the Twenty20 world rankings.
PCB caretaker chairman Najam Sethi recently gave a lifeline to Razzaq, advising him to perform in the premier domestic Quaid-e-Azam Trophy so that he can be considered for the upcoming South Africa series, the report added.
