Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is not only talented at football but can also throw a good punch when it comes to boxing in the ring, a top boxing coach who has worked with him revealed.
Former British boxer Joe Gallagher said that Rooney's sporting talents went beyond football, adding that the forward has got good feet, hands and hits hard and sharp, The Daily Star reported.
Gallagher said that Rooney is heavy-handed and throws good combinations, adding that he is a footballer first and foremost but one can see that the England International has got good basics and can handle himself in the ring.
Gallagher spoke after a video showing Rooney being knocked out by former teammate Phil Bardsley during a friendly tussle at home, the report added.
