Incessant downpour has caused havoc across the state of Himachal Pradesh with many roads in the state left damaged.
As per the data available with the PWD department over 33 roads have been blocked in South Zone of the department.
Due to heavy rains, since the past three days, roads have been damaged in the states four districts of Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Kinnaur. The damage is estimated to have caused the state a loss of worth eight crores of rupees.
"The road slides, tree uprooting are continued in Shimla for past 72 hours. People are worried from the bad condition of roads and it is creating trouble to the people," said M.S. Thakur, Chief Engineer South Zone Shimla.
"The electricity supply in the region is also hampered in the region locals are facing troubles. The labourers are also facing problems due to rain here," said Harsh Sharma, a local resident.
