Heavy rainfall has triggered flood-like situation in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal.

Heavy rainfall has been taking place from the last three-four days, due to which life has come to a standstill in the district.

Water has entered the residential areas and people are facing lots of difficulties in carrying out their day-to day activities.

The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans have been deployed, who are repairing the damaged embankments in the district.

As of now, no casualty has been reported.
