Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Thursday slammed critiques, who dubbed the leader 'anti-Hindu'.

He took to his Twitter handle to post pictures from his trip to Thiruvananthapuram in a temple with the caption reading, "At the Poonthura ShivaKshetram today, just before being accused of being anti-Hindu!"

In another tweet he can be seen performing rituals at the temple.

He wrote, "Performing pushparchana on the 93rd birth anniversary of the legendary Poonthura Swami, one of Thiruvananthapuram's most devout Shiv Bhakts"

Tharoor also inaugurated the logo and website of Trivandrum Academy of western Music along with state Tourism Minister Kadkampally Surendran.

He tweeted, "Inaugurated, w/Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran, the logo & website of the new Trivandrum Academy of Western Music http://trivandrumacademy.com TAWM will offer performances as well as instruction in technique to young musicians by 5 classical music teachers from the former USSR"

This comes after he was called 'anti-Hindu' for his comments on BJP's ideology.

Responding to the criticism on his 'Hindu Pakistan' comments, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Thursday said he was simply highlighting the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) ideology through his comment.
