Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will soon launch a political organisation aimed at funding "resistance groups" that oppose Donald Trump's policies.
After her 2016 failed presidential bid, Clinton is working with former donors and aides to form a political action committee that will look to fund and invest in groups that stand up to President Trump.
The political action committee (PAC) will be launched as soon as next week with minimum staff. Clinton's PAC will be designed to lift politicians and groups that energize the anti-Trump resistance campaign.
Having identified herself as a part of the so-called resistance, "I'm now back to being an activist citizen and part of the resistance," Clinton told CNN in an interview this week.
"Activism is more important than ever, and it's working, form the women's marches across the country to helping bring down the Republicans' terrible health care bill, "Clinton had said in Texas earlier this year.
Dennis Cheng, Clinton's campaign finance director and fundraiser and Judith McHale, the former secretary of state's deputy at the State Department are working with Clinton to help shape the Board of Directors and recruitment of investors.
