Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that it will be a huge challenge for him and his coaching team to improve his new club's performance.

He insisted that the progress might be a bit slow as the club has not achieved success from long time.

Klopp further revealed that owners have not allotted him any specific target for this season, but added that he needs to develop a recognizable brand, the Guardian reported.

The German's appointment came after Liverpool sacked Brendan Rodgers following their poor Premier League performances that put the five-time European champions at the tenth spot.

With the appointment, the former Borussia Dortmund coach became the Anfield Club's highest paid manager after he signed a three-year contract worth five million pounds a year.

The German will head Liverpool for the first time against Tottenham in their Premier League clash on October 17.
