Demi Lovato, who was recently hospitalised following a drug overdose, has updated her fans with an instagram post.
Demi posted an open letter on Instagram on Sunday saying, "I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappeared or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet."
Thanking her fans, family, friends and the Hospital staff, she said, "Without them I wouldn't be here writing this letter to all of you."
The 'Sorry Not Sorry' singer said that she needs to focus on sobriety. "I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side," she added in the end.
Lovato is well known for her struggle with substance abuse for years, she had opened about her struggles with addiction in the documentary- 'Simply Complicated'.
