World number one Novak Djokovic continued his rich vein of form as he claimed a comfortable straight sets victory over Japanese sixth seed Kei Nishikori to lift his third consecutive Miami Open title.

The Serbian matched former world number one Andre Agassi's Miami record total of six crowns after defeating Nishikori 6-3, 6-3 on the Florida hardcourt, Sport24 reported.

With the win, Djokovic completed the US double of Miami and Indian Wells for the third year in a row and fourth time overall.

Earlier this year, Djokovic secured his 11th career Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.
