While many people like to go ON long drives, there are adventure junkies, who just take it to the next level.
A 23 member team left Imphal to take part for a cross-border expedition titled "Road to London" crossing 18 countries.
The expedition "Road to London" was flagged off from Classic Grande today morning by Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar today.
With the trip having a time frame of 49 days, the team has 13 Sports Utility Vehicles of different makers including BMW, Mercedes, Toyota range rovers, Duster, Fortuner etc.
The participants will be driving through challenging terrains, off-beaten tracks, mountain passes, expressways to reach the British capital.
The team has also been given logistic support in the northeast by Radhakrishna of Seven Sisters Holiday and Arambam Angamba of nine hills consultants.
The rally is being organised by Adventures Overland, a travel company which specializes in self-driving expeditions and is brainchild of two avid travelers - Sanjay Madan, an off-roading expert and Tushar Agarwal, a travel writer, who has authored two books titled 'Road Affair' and 'The Great Indian World Trip' on his various driving expeditions and records.
