"Discussions have taken place on capacity building programmes that both India and South Korea would like to take in Afghanistan," MEA Secretary (East) Preeti Saran said during a media briefing on South Korean President Moon Jae-in's visit to India on Tuesday.
"They are in discussion stage and there is seriousness on both sides to ensure that we do this, not just in Afghanistan but with other partners as well," she added.
Earlier in the day, India and South Korea signed 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) during South Korean President's visit to India.
President Moon arrived in New Delhi on Sunday on his first ever state visit to India since he became the President.
