Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday expressed confidence that India will soon lead the world in promoting electric vehicles, so that cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Pune can be free of pollution woes.

"We are at forefront of promoting renewable energy across the country, working towards energy efficiency and thereby reducing the carbon dioxide, pollution in the country," Goyal said, reminding that the challenge of climate change can only be combated collectively.

On front of terrorism, Goyal said, "world has recognized that how these dangerous intolerant thoughts can be and what it can lead to in terms of instability of society in terms of harm to very human existence."

"We should all together stand together against terrorism and dialogue is the only way forward to achieve the noble goal of world peace and harmony." he said.

The Union Minister further noted that every individual is directed to five P's in life-Power, Prosperity, Prestige, Pleasure, Position but it is important to have 6th P of Purity.

"All Indians are one irrespective of our faith, religion, God and the path we follow to achieve salvation," he added.
