Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu advanced to the quarterfinals of the Macau Open Grand Prix after defeating Indonesia's Lindaweni Fanetri in straight games on Thursday.
The two-time bronze medallist at World Championship overcame Fanetri 21-17, 21-18 in a thrilling contest that lasted about 46 minutes. Sindhu will next take on Chen Yufei of China to seal a berth in semifinals.
Meanwhile, H. S. Prannoy and B. Sai Praneeth will battle out in their respective contests to secure their places in the quarterfinals.
