Australian cricket team injured captain Michael Clarke has returned to running duties a week ahead of schedule, strengthening his chances of being fit for playing in the upcoming World Cup.
Clarke, who was injured while playing at Adelaide Oval during the first Test, has returned to light running drills under the guidance of team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris just 15 days after right hamstring surgery, News.com.au reported.
Though he still doubts his chances of being fit for World Cup opener match against England at the MCG on February 14, he is confident that he will be available for the majority of the showpiece tournament, the report added.
