'Injured' Du Plessis likely to miss ODIs against Kiwis

South African batsman Faf du Plessis is likely to miss the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, which starts from Wednesday.

The 31-year-old was also ruled out of the just concluded drawn two-match T20 series due to knee injury.

According to coach Russell Domingo, batsman Farhaan Behardien would be Du Plessis' replacement in case the latter is declared unfit, Sport24 reported.

Domingo added that they are also planning to bring an additional player into the squad as a back-up option.
