Two American women, who declared themselves "citizens of the Islamic State," have reportedly been nabbed for plotting to blow up people at a police officer's funeral in New York City, on behalf of the terror outfit.
Former roommates Asia Siddiqui, 31, and Noelle Velentzas, 28, had been planning an attack since May 2013 and had stockpiled tanks of propane gas, along with information on how to turn them into bombs, reported New York Post.
A law enforcement source said that if left to their own choices, then they would have executed the attack.
An undercover officer, who befriended them in 2013, revealed that they considered themselves "citizens of IS" and had said during conversations that they hoped to become "real bad bitches."
Both women were nabbed from their homes on early Thursday morning on charges that could send them to prison for life.
The women, who have been held without bail, are due to appear in court on May 4.
