Islamic State (IS) militants are recruiting trained technicians and scientists to make chemical weapons, said Australian minister for foreign affairs Julie Bishop.
According to News.com.au, Bishop said that IS militants used chemical in an attack in Iraq.
She said it is likely that IS extremists have western-trained experts who are able to build chemical weapons.
More serious efforts in chemical weapons development have been revealed through IS' use of chlorine and its recruitment of highly technically trained professionals, said Bishop.
